Writing, Writing, Writing

So, we achieved our goal of getting to 100 pages in Script Frenzy on Sunday evening. It's really nice to be able to say that we are done now and it only took us four days. The best thing about this is the fact that now we aren't completely focused on our script. I have free time to work on other things and believe me, I have.

At the end of this week I hope to have at least one chapter completely done for either "Failure" or "Our New Life." If Aiden is amenable, I may have both done and ready for editing. Of course, I also have the scene near the end of "Failure" that I'm still working on because honestly, I'm totally in love with it. It is making me want to write "Failure" quickly so I can get to that point in the story.

I also plan to do some editing on "Eyes on Fire" but I'm not too concerned about deadlines anymore. If I have to, I'll pay for a copy of my book to put on my shelf. I'm not sure yet if it's worth all the trouble I'm putting into it, but maybe my perspective isn't the best. I fought with those characters all November long and we still have a love/hate relationship going on. Though I admit, it's much more hate than love. If they ever see a bookstore it will be because my husband refuses to let me give them up.

I think that's it, but if I think of anything else that I forgot I'll update the blog again.

Sript Frenzy update and ff news

So, as of last night (only two days into Screnzy) Jon and I are at a comfortable 46 pages. I can't believe how fast we are cranking them out, it's just so easy! Our new goal is 100 pages by Sunday (tomorrow night) and possibly 300 by the end of the month. I know that it would only be another weeks worth of work to get to 300 but it really depends on how fast we get to the end of our outline and how much story we have left to tell. I think we could easily finish scripting out the entire comic this month.

In a bit of fan fiction news (hoping to get a smile out of the girls from Twilighted.net), I woke up yesterday morning with an idea for a scene in my head. I figured that I would get three, maybe four, pages out of it and have something nice to show my readers that I'm still writing. Of course, I didn't realize that Aiden must have been saving this idea for awhile, because when I stopped working on it last night it was at 9 pages and it's still not done. The good thing is that my muse is back in full force! The bad thing is that this scene takes place near the end of "Failure" so unless you want to be spoiled, you can't see it yet.

If however you are in the mood for spoilers, I will be posting this on Deviant Art. My writing group has the best theme ever going this month... "Fan fiction." I've decided that I'll post this "little" scene there and see how it does. If you are interested you can go and check it out. I'm not sure what I will be calling it yet, but I will let you all know when I do.

Script Frenzy and other things

Jon, Aiden and I have been planning for this day for several months now and finally it's here! Tonight we get to start Script Frenzy and I know we are just going to kick butt! Jon is of the belief that we will have the whole 100 pages done before he starts school on the 20th and I really hope he is right. Of course, having our entire story scripted out already helps a lot!

In other news, I did some more editing on "Eyes on Fire" last night and it was actually really easy to see some problems and correct them. I guess distancing myself from the project for the past month really has helped me see things more clearly.

In regards to fan-fiction, I have done a little work on "Broken Bindings" (my George/Hannah story) and have come up with some fun new scenes for my two Twilight stories. I have also started a new one shot for my writing group on Deviant Art. The theme this month is Fan Fiction and so I decided to write a story that Jon has been bothering me about for the past few days. If I would have known that he would love the "Black Jewels" series so much I would have had him read it months ago! Now he is pestering me to write a story about Daemon and Janelle and I know exactly the scene I want to write.

Anyway, I'm still plugging along and thought you all should know!

A new idea

So, while I spent my day at work looking after two incredibly grumpy kids, Aiden decided to join me. Now, this I usually wouldn't mind, except for the fact that the idea he gave me isn't one I ever wanted to write. In all honesty, I STILL don't want to write it but I think I've lost my choice in the matter. My mind has been racing for hours, looking for a way to write this story so it captures what I want it to, trying to figure out how to work the characters and emotions before I realized that I was really going to write it.

This story may just change my life.

At the very least, it's going to be the most intense emotional journey I have ever taken. Wish me luck.

Broken Bindings

All right, after several weeks of not being able to write anything at all (which has been frustrating) I finally forced myself to sit down today and write. I got five pages written for the prologue of my new full length George/Hannah fic and I'm onto the first chapter. Yes, I do realize that I have a lot of projects that are more important than working on this one but this is the only thing I was able to get out. To me, getting any writing done is better than none at all. And of course, I know that a certain friend of mine is a fan of my George/Hannah stories and I'm really in the mood for some good feedback.

I am still working on "Eyes on Fire" but it's gotten really difficult lately. The characters seem to hate me just a little more every day and the feeling is being reciprocated. I do realize that I have a deadline of sorts for this book, but right now it's looking like it won't even be close to done by June 1st. Oh well, I'll just keep working at it.

I also have another writing project that is coming up soon... Script Frenzy! My husband and I (and Aiden I'm sure) will be collaborating on a sci-fi script for a new graphic novel. The idea is still sketchy right now, but it is definitely different than anything I have ever done before. So starting April 1st, look forward to updates about that project as well.

As for my Twilight fan fics... I'm on hiatus right now. I seriously can't get anything out of my brain for them even though I know where I want the stories to go. I guess I'm just not in the Twilight groove right now. I know it sucks, but there isn't anything I can do about it. I'm not going to force myself to work on projects that aren't working out. If I'm forced, I'll just end up with a chapters worth of writing that I absolutely hate and I enjoy these projects too much to screw them up.

I think that is about all for now. I'll try to update more often.

Current Projects

As Valentine's Day gets closer, I've realized that I have yet to find the perfect gift for my husband. This year is special because it's our first Valentine's day as a married couple and I really want to make the day perfect for him. Luckily for me I have a brilliant guy and he suggested that we do something creative this year. I've decided to write a short story as his gift and so until I'm finished, this story will be my priority. Just a short fluffy piece about a couple on Valentine's Day, but hopefully it will be fun.

"Eyes on Fire" is becoming exceptionally fun to edit and I can't wait until I have chapter two polished up. If you want to be among the few I send it out to let me know. I've decided that I'm going to limit the readership on this story to people I can trust to give me really good constructive critism.

Oh, for those following my fanfictions on Twilighted.net, know that I have started work on chapters for both stories. Failure has been difficult, but I think I have finally found an interesting angle to work this next chapter from. I just hope that I can get it to work the way I want it to.

I've also finally started work on my George Weasley/Hannah Abbott epic "Broken Bindings" and I think it's going to be incredibly fun to work on. I can't wait until I really get into the story.

I think that is it for now, just wanted to update everyone on what I'm working on. Hope you all have a great weekend!
